The group of MELLOW MOOD was created at 1995 from the pianist and composer George Marinakis. Their music moves in the space between the the mainstream jazz and the modern fusion, with melodies and rhythms which vary from swing and blues up to latin and funk. Their pieces have always melodic base but also intense improvisation, with a repertoire which consists of modern arrangements on known standards, as well as original compositions of George Marinakis. They have played into many cultural events and they appear steadily in various musical scenes of Athens.
